John James Hand Embroidery- Crewel Needles are used for hand embroidery with floss. The elongated eye is designed to accommodate strands of embroidery floss. Same length and point as an ordinary sharp needle, but with an elongated eye. 

These Embroidery needles have a long eye which makes threading the needle so much easier when using multiple strands of thread.  

These wonderful needles are double copper-plus-nickel plated to prevent tarnishing.

Because of their large eye, these needles are also suitable for general sewing.
